JARED NIGHTINGALE

  • Camp Director | 2016 - Current

  • 12 year professional player

  • Michigan State University 2002-2006

  • Current Assistant Coach of the Chicago Blackhawks affiliate, Rockford IceHots in the American Hockey League.

Our head instructor brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion for the game of hockey. Growing up in Cheboygan, Michigan, Jared first fell in love with the game by playing in the cities outdoor rink. He began playing house league hockey all the way until the age of 15, when he left home and went on to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, with hopes to improve his game and someday play college hockey. 

 

 

SCOOTER VAUGHN

  • Retired Pro Hockey Player

Growing up in the warmth of Southern California, GLH instructor, Scooter Vaughan, is no stranger to putting in the work in the cold. Playing for stickhanding camp guru, Jeff Turcotte and the California Wave, Scooter refined his skills which lead to him earning a spot with Jon Cooper(Tampa Bay Lightning Head Coach) and the St. Louis Bandits, where he played his Jr. career.

MIchael LEONE

  • Head coach of the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL.

  • Great Lakes Hockey Camp Instructor 2017-2020

We are very fortunate to have someone with Mikes credentials join the GLH staff. Growing up in Detroit, Mike has had quite the journey throughout his career. Winning seems to follow Leone with multiple championships including at the Junior level and a CCHA title with the Broncos at Western Michigan in 2012.

Terry has been with Great Lakes Hockey since the beginning! A true leader and example for what it takes to be a great player and teammate. Former Captain of the University of Nebraska Omaha, Terry continues to excel on the ice now in his 12th year professionally.
